Description
Gongora galeata ‘Wylde’ This is a named variety which has a bigger flower than most I have seen. This is an exoctic species that grows cold in Melbourne and flowers its head off every year from Jan to April. it is an easy plant to grow and flower, just hang it up and forget. the flower spikes emerge from the base of the bulbs and carry up to 20 perfumed flowers around 40mm across on a pendulous spike around 250mm long. the plant on offer is that shown in the 3rd + 4th photos. These are struck back bulb divisions in a 80mm pot. these are currently in spike, pic taken 13.02.19
